Terms of service

These terms govern your use of filterslop, including the website and the Chrome extension. By creating an account or using filterslop, you agree to these terms and our privacy policy. Please read them carefully.

1. The service

filterslop is a Chrome extension that checks the videos on YouTube and removes the ones that don’t fit your goals. It works in Google Chrome on desktop, on youtube.com. It does not work in the YouTube apps, on mobile, or in other browsers.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 18 years old to use filterslop.
• You must give accurate information and keep access to your email secure.
• Each account is for one person. Don’t share your account.
• You are responsible for all activity under your account.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• copy, reverse engineer or try to extract our scoring service;
• send automated or bulk requests, or use filterslop to scrape YouTube;
• get around payments, usage limits or security;
• resell or share access to filterslop;
• use filterslop for anything illegal.

We may suspend accounts that break these rules.

4. Subscription, billing and cancellation

• Plans: $4.99 per month or $29.99 per year, plus any tax shown at checkout.
• Billing: payments are processed by Dodo Payments, our reseller and Merchant of Record.
• Automatic renewal: your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
• Price changes: we will email you before a new price applies to your next renewal.
• Cancellation: cancel any time from your account. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for.

Refunds

If filterslop isn’t for you, email support@filterslop.lol within 7 days of your first payment for a full refund. After that, payments are non-refundable, except where the law requires. If you live in the EU or UK, you also have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of purchase.

5. Your settings

Your filter settings and custom filters belong to you. You give us permission to use them only to provide filterslop. How we handle your data is explained in our privacy policy.

6. Service availability

We work to keep filterslop running smoothly, but we don’t guarantee it will always be available or error-free. Interruptions can happen because of maintenance, outages at our providers, or changes on YouTube. We may change or remove features over time.

7. YouTube

filterslop is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by YouTube or Google. YouTube may change its website at any time, which can affect how filterslop works; we will fix problems as quickly as we can. You remain responsible for following YouTube’s own terms.

8. Automated filtering

filterslop decides automatically which videos to filter, and it won’t always be right. A filtering reason is an automated judgement about how a video fits your goals, not a statement about the video or its creator. You can always see why a video was filtered and show it anyway.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

filterslop is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don’t promise that filtering will be accurate or complete.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Termination

You can stop using filterslop at any time by cancelling your subscription and uninstalling the extension. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put the service at risk. If we close your account without a good reason, we will refund the unused part of your subscription.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts in New Delhi have jurisdiction over any disputes. If you are a consumer, you keep any protections the laws of your country give you.

13. Changes to these terms

If we make material changes, we will email you at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use filterslop after that means you accept the updated terms.
